There is a difference between the MFD on the base models and those that have Nav and/or backup camera. The base MFD will not display the backup camera feed. You can do as I did and fit a third party backup camera - costs differ depending on the model and the way the screen is fitted in the car, but be careful about trying to link to the MFD. |

An alternative that you may want to consider is to have your dealer install proximity sensors in the rear bumper. A little speaker in the passenger cabin will make various sounds as the rear of your car approaches another object; I have found this works very well with my 2004. |

Friends: 0 | Re: 2007 Prius retrofit backup camera? For my 2005, if I got the OEM parts from Sigma Automotive and installed it myself, the cost would be around $700. As much as I'd like one, it's much cheaper to add a 3rd-Party camera system or go with the proximity sensors, both of which were mentioned before. |
