I've seen the real chromed wheels on a black Prius before (public photos of Demi Moore's black Prius when she had an accident), and I think they looked great and would look good on my Magnetic Gray too ... something shiney against all that blackness and grayness. Seriously, I understand the sentiment. Chromed plastic does not look as good as chromed metal. But some chromed plastics (like these Chrome Wheel Skins) look, IMO, better than others. But have you noticed how much chromed plastic car manufacturers have been using these past 20 years, including on luxury cars? Some of it borders on blasphemy, e.g., Jaguar XJ sedan. | |
