My odometer turned 11111 today. Aw, it was so beautiful and so orderly... You shoulda been there. No actually if you'd been there I probably would've just gone, Hey what are you doing here -- get out of my car -- help help.

On 5/5/5, my Prius encountered another. I quite literally jumped out to say "Hi!". He was absolutely delighted to have a spontaneous in-the-parking-lot gathering like that. When I asked him how long he had his Prius, he stated what his odometer read. Then he asked about mine. I said, "33333".

Needless to say, he was shocked by the coincidence.

Of course, it was only until he figured out that I was "that guy with the website". My reputation obviously proceeds me... which is actually rather handy. It made giving him a Prius DVD and some Prius Info-Sheets no big deal. He clearly understood my passion for the car and taking advantage of an opportunity like that.

Have you heard recent translation of the Dead Sea Scrolls have put the evil number as 616 because it directly references Nero of Rome?

This has nothing to do with my mileage, but given the discussion I thought you might appreciate this. I was born on Friday the thirteenth. At 5:13 pm, no less. And I weighed 5 pounds, thirteen ounces. You can phone my mother if you don't believe me. No, I won't be staying home all day, and yes, I plan to buy a lottery ticket. It's up to 25 million, I think, so maybe I'll splurge on a Volta.
