I voted No. I love my prius , but I am uber-pissed that I can't buy an electric vehicle to fit my desires.

I have a great job and live in a great place, but 40 miles of the most dangerous roads in Washington separate them. I am unwilling to give one up and the automakers will not sell a reasonably environmentally friendly vehicle.

Tempted to update the poll but then it'll be skewed because all those who want EVs have already voted. lol.

There's been threads on that subject too that you can search. It's definitely cheaper, perhaps half the cost, depends on the cost of electricity and what month you measure the price of gas. The only problem is batteries are heavier/bulkier than gas tanks, so the range is limited, o/w it's a no-brainer to go with EVs. [/b]

Ok, thanks for setting me straight on that.

Yes, however if I could get a Tesla then that would be another story.

I have not put much milage on mine at all.

Based on what I know so far - yes. I would like leather, and may put it on this one.

Also better tires and Please Upgrade the damn paint. If the car is going to go forever, should not the paint go along with it?

I would consider another Hybrid, or better technology if it has a good feature set. I really like the hatchback.

I voted yes, but I'm actually about to custom order a Yaris for my fiance. For around $15,000 I can get a SAFE (side airbags, abs, alloy wheels, cold weather kit) Yaris that she can drive for years and years with great fuel economy. The $10K more that a Prius costs would take hundreds of thousands of miles to pay for itself. I'd still buy a new Prius when Toyota comes out with a redesign/plugin version.

Yet the Yaris is not in the same class as the Prius. Be careful when stating the last portion of your paragraph. Having driven a variety of Yaris at my work and owning a Prius I can say that there is definately a $10k difference between the two. Not saying one is better than the other (each has their strengths) but they are different classes for sure.

YES! But not from the crappiest dealer in the world. STAY AWAY FROM GO! Toyota Dealerships!!! All they car about is the sale. You are just another number in their eyes.

But I would buy another Prius in an instant, GREAT VEHICLE!

Also in 3 or 4 years when I get ready for another car some other company may make a better hybrid. I have no brand name loyalty, I'll go with whoever makes the best vehicle when I want to buy one.

i answered yes... based on cars available TODAY..... otherwise.... it will depend on what's out there and what best fits my needs at that time..... who knows what the other companies will come up with by the time i'm ready to buy another car!
