Default Better horn

Has anybody found a horn that fits in the stock space and sounds like a real car horn? The stock one wouldn't scare anybody...

I cannot vouch for it, but I found this site mentioned in another thread here at PriusChat: http://www.eautoworks.com/html/search-1-Pr...s~Cars~Horn.htm

That's funny -- I just found that same page not 20 mins ago. I'm trying to find a sound sample, but for $45, I think I'll give it a try.

thanks,
dave.

Which ones are you going with, the 400+500hz or 500+600hz? Let us know how they work out.

Please let us know what works, I think the idiots on the road who don't see me laugh when I honk at them.

The stock Prius horn is best described as whimpy. Will be interested to hear from someone that has upgraded. Can you send a wav file to illustrate the sound?

I'd really like to hear a sound sample. At Pep Boys today, I saw some horns that were supposed to sound like big-rigs. Does anyone know if the amperage requirements are different with the various horns? What details, besides size, are an issue?

I'd like to have a locomotive horn for all the agressive drivers i see that insist on cutting across several lanes of traffic at the last possible moment to get to an exit ramp.

I think the 400 + 500 Hz -- I tend to associate "lower" with "bigger", and I really want them to think they just tried to cut off a Buick.

I'll try to get "before" and "after" .wav's

dave.
