Bought a small piece of 92% light transmission (8% darkening) along with the carbon fiber film for the front/rear emblems which are completed. I tried one of the smoke film pieces on the right rear side reflector lens - first pic. 2nd pic is standard. Not sure if it's worth the effort as the tailights have the concave curve. The film does allow for some curving, but would need to be two pieces - one side as I have done and the rear. During my test, the light transmission is just fine - does not mask out too much (thus probably no "law" issues. I'm not a fan of the white/chrome large '10 lights, esp against a darker car color. Still contemplating if I should do it. Yea / Nay???

I'm trying to grow the nerve to paint my taillights all red. What I was thinking of doing is adding a little red paint to clear coat and do the whole tail. Still deciding on that. |
