Hack Wanted: Karaoke Prius

Had a great time running some errands with the girls this morning. We had a CD in, all 3 of us singing along (a fun family moment fit for a Prius commercial) when #1 daughter claimed it was "Karaoke-enabled." Not sure if that is true or not (or really what that means technology wise), but we decided that what we wanted as a family was the ability to pop in our Karaoke discs into the Prius and have the words pop up on the MFD.

Any ideas if this is possible? I'm going to send in similar requests to the makezine.com blog, but wanted to check here as well...

I would guess possible. Look at he Mac in Prius posts. I would guess that you could tease the data out or even play it as a DVD. If it works on a Mac then you can get it to work on your Prius.

get something like viewtech with A/V input, then hook up a PS2 on it, and play karaoke revolution. there ya go!
