Friends: 0 | Will a 225/45 tire with a section width of 9.2" do ok on a 17x7 wheel with a 42mm offset? How about a 235/45-17 with a section width of 8.9" on a 17x7.5 wheel with a 37mm offset? I'm looking to replace the stock 15's on my '06 with a set of wider wheels & tires. We just did the '05 with 16x7 Kazera's and 205/55 HR16 Goodyear ComforTred's. I like them a lot, they're a great fit for my wife's driving style, but I want to go just a little more aggressive. The 205/55-16's have a section width of 8.4" -- an inch over the Integrity 185/65-15's section width of 7.4". With an offset of +40mm, they still feel like they've got a good inch or so clearance on the car's tightest turning radius. All these combos have a wheel outside diameter of 25" to 25.5". Comments? Thanks, Bob
