Friends: 0 | (Apologies for reposting the question - I think it may have been lost in this big thread). I'm about ready to put in an order for the BT Stiffening Plate - but have one question. Does anyone know if there are compatibility issues with the Tom's Braces? Tom's Floor Strengthening Brace Tom's Rear Suspension Member Strengthening Brace From the pictures it is unclear if these share any common mounting location or if there are any other concerns. My motivation for asking is that I'd like to start out inexpensive, easy and effective with the BT part, but (hopefully) retain the option to go crazy with the Tom's parts at some future date. |

Friends: 3 | Hello Chris, I do not believe that you can use our stiffening plate and the other one at the same time. The point of attachment for our brace is also used by the one you mention so they physically could not fit. Quote:

Friends: 3 | Tom's rear brace uses the same points of connection as the BT plate, but it also extends back further. It's like the BT brace on 'roids. The floor strengthening brace will not conflict with the BT brace, since it connects closer to the center of the chassis. |

Friends: 3 | Thanks Presto for the clarification. I knew that one of them did not fit. |

Friends: 0 | BT Tech -- I am thinking about getting your skid plate that protects the underside of the engine/etc., but I now also have a Toms front lower suspension brace. Would there be a conflict between your skid plate and the Toms front lower brace? Thanks. Dave Anderson Last edited by CDAVIDANDERSON; 01-09-2009 at 07:14 PM. Reason: clarity |

Friends: 3 | Hello Dave, I honestly do not know if there will be a clearance issue with our skid plate and your front lower brace. If possible please post or email me a picture of the underside of your car so that I can take a look at it. Quote:

Friends: 22 | I think, but am not sure, that apriusfan may know whether the skid plate is compatible to Tom's lower front brace. I seem to recall that apriusfan had all of the Tom's braces and was very interested in getting the skid plate before it came out. Dave and Brian -- maybe you can PM apriusfan with the question? |
