what is the maximum amps you can draw before the ice kicksin when speeding up
is that the same with the standard prius
and please of so.. remember me what the standard max current draw is before the ice kicksin when in EV mode.

From what I understand it's not available on the Scangauge. The CAN View does have it. I could be wrong.

Since my CV lost power for some reason it reset the trip to my last save point which was at around 500 miles into the tank. So what I have been doing the past few days is to reset the trip info on the CV and compare it with the trip MPG on the SG.

What I have found was that on my first trip to work the SG reported about 180MPG and the CV reported 255MPG. 255 is the max the CV can display and could mean 0 gas used or greater than 255MPG. In this case its greater than 255 apparently. On my way home the SG reported 150MPG and the CV reported 220MPG. These numbers were consistent the past few days.

If you were to take the miles driven so far which is 1100 miles and divide it by the percent of the gas used which is %60 you get about 18.333 miles per percent. If I ran my tank down to %0 I would expect to get about 1833 miles on a tank. If that tank was a 10 gallon fill up then my average would be 183MPG which is pretty much spot on to my last CV reading. If it took 11 gallons my average would be 167MPG and is more close to the SG.

Based on what I have seen so far I think the CAN-view will be a lot more accurate for a running average but I'm not sure on which would be more accurate on a trip by trip calculation.

With your recent fill up, do you think the CAN-view is more accurate or did the scan gauge come out on top?

Just to let everyone know I'm still working of the final writeup. There is a lot to type out, organize, spllcheck, organize again, read everything, correct mistakes, read again, add some more stuff, and correct more mistakes. I haven't had much time to work on it but with any luck I hope to have it done by the end of October.

According to my CAN-View the max invert temperature was around 175.

If your in EV mode below 34mph then you can draw about 120 amps.
Normal mode up to 41mph is about 40-50 amps.
And when in warp stealth up to about 50 amps.

3.3 cpm is awesome. with gas going down that will improve. i am also impressed by your electricity costs. does that include taxes?? i am paying just over 9 cents/kwh

and this 120amps is special higher with your plugin pack or can you also get this with a normal prius and EV mode
and can you sustain it longer with the plugin pack.

Its the same for a normal Prius in EV mode. You can sustain 120 amps until you reach 34mph then your kicked out of EV mode.
