Friends: 1 | Hmm... Isn't it overly complicated to hack the HSD into a pure-electric vehicle? Wouldn't it be easier to just use one big motor, rather than two motors geared together by immobilizing the HSD ring carrier? With one big motor, that guy wouldn't even have to bother modifying a power-split device. Just the motor hooked up directly to the driveline. |

Friends: 2 | Yeh, it is easy to make the mechanical hack. The firmware hack going to be very difficult if not impossible to eliminate the ICE control codes in the ECU and the motor control ECU. Quote:
