Friends: 10 | It's interesting, it should not be possible to get ABS 42 and VSC 45, but yet it happens. Maybe this is why it was suggested that the ECU be replaced. In one thread, the solution was to check all ABS-related relays. ABS, and VSC and Brake lights on |

Friends: 0 | Dam, relays all good. Not one fuse blown on the car. Performed another reset, still abs 42 / vsc 45 / ! not blinking, alarm still on. I think its time for the skid control module, and have it reprogrammed. |

Friends: 0 | Resolved finally, it was the skid control ecu in my case. New battery, rear shocks and rear tires along the way. Good experience too, i learned more about the prius. Thank you Seilerts for the effort and time. My advice to anyone that has this problem.....get it fixed fast. |

Friends: 10 | Thanks for letting us know. We'll all have to remember that ABS 42 and VSC 45 probably mean replace ECU. I wonder if it is an early model problem (2004-2005) as well. |
