Friends: 0 | I am having electrical problems with my 05 Prius. I have no power to either of the two Power Outlets. I probably caused this condition when I installed a backup camera groping for power around the instrument panel fuse box. Anyway, hoping someone can shine some light on my problem. I need a clarification of page 316 owners manual 12. ACC-B 25 A: “Power Outlets” “Acc” fuses. 19. PWR OUTLET 15 A: Power outlet 21 PWR Outlet FR 15 A: Power outlet Can I assume? Fuse position 12 (25A) supplies power to both power outlets? Fuse position 21 (15A) supplies power to front power outlet? Fuse position 19 (15A) supplies power to power outlet in console? Any other fuse in the circuit powering both? Thanks in advance for your kind assistance. Alan Marcus ammarcus@earthlink.net |

Friends: 0 | The layout for all this is just ... bizarre. According to the EWD, the +12 rail from the 100A DC/DC converter fuse splits thusly: . .. 15A "pwr outlet FR" --> power outlet relay --> power outlet #1 (dash) . .. 25A "ACC B" --> ACC relay contacts --> 15A "pwr outlet" --> power .. outlet 2 (armrest) . The latter also powers the power outlet relay coil downstream from the 15A "pwr outlet" fuse, so if you lose that fuse then it looks like both outlets go dead. . Like I said, it's completely braindead. One comes right off the ACC relay, the other gets its own relay and bypasses the ACC line... . For reference, the Coastal mod essentially connects a wire across the power outlet relay contacts, leaving the dash outlet enabled. . _H* |
