Friends: 0 | Yesterday morning when I first got in my 06 Prius, the MFD, Clock and Radio were all blank. I checked all fuses and they were fine. On the fourth trip in the car (about noon), it all came back at startup. My guess is a bad circuit board connection that when the car warmed up, it worked. Any other ideas? or has anyone else experienced this? |

Friends: 0 | Did you see Galaxee's sticky thread at the top of the Care & Mainenance forums? Apparently, enough people have had trouble with their MFD's that she has arranged to sell refurbished ones. She reports that the Toyota dealer wants $4,000 to replace the screen. I don't know how to post links to her thread, but someone will come along shortly and help... |

Friends: 0 | Check the 12-volt connections. I don't believe the clock is "attached" to the car in any way other than the 12-volt power. |

Friends: 26 | check the dome fuse. can't give much other advice right now, don't have a wiring diagram. and don't worry, that's not the mfd problem. |

Friends: 0 | Interesting both mornings this has happened in the past two days, it is close to freezing but no freeze warning on the dash (little ice icon). Wonder if this has something to do with it? All other dash icons work. In the afternoons, all is fine. MFD, Radio and clock. They all come back when it warms up outside. Fuses all o.k. and Dome lights work BOTH times. No problems with Dome lights at either time. |

Friends: 3 | Problems like this can be extremely difficult to diagnose... My old car ('97 Sunfire GT) had something similar with the 12V system... 6-10 times every winter i would start up the car, get about half a block and all of the electronics (radio, power steering, everything) would just go dead... leave it running to warm up, restart the car, and everything would work fine - but the dealer could never find the problem. |

Friends: 26 | the 06 doesn't have the it's-cold-outside indicator. i'll try to get in touch with DH at work and see if he's got time to take a look at some of his materials at work. |

Friends: 0 | Thanks for any help. It happened yesterday aftn (when it was warm) so I was going to the dealership first thing this A.M. On the way to the dealership this morning, all came back to normal. I went anyway but they told me unless there was an engine light (to set a code), they could not help me. I will have to catch it when it happens at the dealership. |

Friends: 0 | Latest is I took it to the dealership and they have supposedly found the problem. It is the junction block behind the steering wheel on the driver's side of the car. Technician says it is a bad junction block with poor connections. I will repost if not the answer as I get the car back tomorrow. They had to order the part and it comes in tomorrow. |
