Friends: 0 | My wife and I like to stop at Starbucks on long drives. It's a known quantity with good bathrooms. We can ask the navigation system for NEAREST COFFEE HOUSE, which will return whichever coffee shop is closest. Or we can get a list of COFFEE HOUSES and page through to find the Starbucks. How difficult would it be to add a STARBUCKS entry to the voice controlled navigation system for STARBUCKS? |

Friends: 10 | Maybe just a shake sensor on the steering system. When your coffee jitters subside to some preset limit, the nearest Starbucks would automatically become the next destination. This could be supplemented by a squirm sensor in the seat, which would give a crude indication of bladder distress. All you would need is a simple logic statement: auto_starbucks = bladder_distress || !coffee_jitters; Tom |

Friends: 0 | ***WHEW**** You made my day! "It's a known quantity with good bathrooms." NOT A: "Good quality" . . . but a good "quantity." I'll vouch for that! If you are in search of good bathrooms, I'd suggest also adding Nordstom stores if you want the best bathrooms. If you are looking for quality coffee, Starbucks is not the place to be looking . . . although, if they have good bathrooms . . . that is where I would end up . . . especially if I ever again drink there swill. . . I just may need to have that good bathroom close at hand. Sorry for not being much of a help - but seriously, do you really need a GPS to find the nearest Starbucks? After all, it is a known quantity . . . they are everywhere . . . and tripling in size. Besides, your GPS data base is already out of date concerning Starbucks locations.

Friends: 1 | Have you tried entering the POI by name, then type in Starbucks. It should then give you a complete list of known locations from back in the year 2004, which would probably be close to 55 % of all Starbucks locations. |

Friends: 0 | In Texas, Barbeque is virtually a necessity... also true in several other states. I suspect that the DVD Navigation publisher extracts a significant fee for adding a specific restaurant chain, coffee shop or any other icon to the system. It's amazing how much information they pack into one DVD disc as it is... perhaps they simply run out of space. Just a wish... |
