Default Remote start trouble for 08

As most of you know, it's been very difficult to get a remote start to work in the 08 and mine has been a bear.
I've been to 2 installers, (one had it 1 week, the other 2 days), neither could program the module without it defaulting back. One tried the Compustar and the other an Autostart. Relays were used, and numerous other tweaks tried to no avail.
Does anyone know of a model which works and any info needed to correctly program the bypass info???
Thanks!

I don't know if you've found a solution but I just installed a remote starter on my 2005 Prius and it works great.

Remote Starter: Autostart 1755
Bypass Module: idatalink ADS-TBSL KO

Plus two relays, one resistor and 4 diodes.

Here's note regarding the Idatalink:

It even gives a tach signal output to wire to the remote starter. After remote starting the car, the factory fob keyless will not work, so you have to unlock the door with the remote starter remote. This will also start a 45 second countdown for you to enter the car and press the brake and drive away. If you press the brake without unlocking from the starter remote or after the 45 seconds, the car will shut down.
Of course mine is 2005 but dpoole34 profile's shows a 2008 and it works for both of us.

hope this help a bit if it's not too late.

EDIT: more info here Priuschat: remote starter
