Friends: 0 | I took my 2006 prius in for routine service at a dealership 1 week ago today. Within a day after getting the car back, the MFD went completely blank. The radio and all other display items still work, but nothing on the MFD. I have tried to turn it back on but get no response from any of the buttons. Is there an electrical connection in the engine or possibly a fuse that I can check? I'm wondering if some connection got loosened during the maintenance. I don't want to change the MFD out if that may not be the problem. How can I check to see if it is getting power? Please Help! Thanks! |

Friends: 0 | I'm not sure. It was working and then the next time I got in the car it wasn't, but my wife drove the car in between. Fortunately, however, I have fixed the problem! I saw on another site a way to access the wires on the back through the speaker hole in the center of the dash. I opened that up, removed the wires from the back of the MFD and then plugged them back in and it is now working. I shouldn't be cynical, but it makes me wonder if someone loosened the connection just enough. Anyway, it is fixed. Thanks for your concern. |

Friends: 12 | did the maintenance cause this?? maybe, probably not. what you performed is the #1 solution to 90% of all electronic gadget issues. call it power cycling, rebooting, whatever you want. but that is always first thing i try. yours worked, mine would have caused you to have to reset all your radio stations, but whatever works |

Friends: 0 | Just like my router at home. Luckily the MFD is more stable than my router. I'm rebooting that on a weekly basis. Thanks! |
