about the lack of OEM mud flaps and OEM body side moldings. The rep, assuming he knew what he was talking about, told me that someone in senior management decided that these accessories wouldn't be made available in the USA. All I got from the rep was an apology and a case number. (I think that did me about as much good as an investment in a lottery ticket!) Anyway, I sent a letter 2nd day snail-mail to Yuki Funo, CEO, Toyota Motor Sales USA this afternoon to express my displeasure. Who knows? Maybe Mr. Funo will put an end to this nonsense. Letters I've sent to CEO's have met with positive results on a few other occasions.

I know this is an old tired thread - but I had to add in some pics - this is what it looks like when you drive on a newly paved road (our roads were re-surfaced) for 3 days! Hopefully a pic is worth all those words  I've emailed dealers in Japan, tried Toy dealer websites all over the world - it is frustrating..... I'm trying to get the UK dealer on Ebay to at minimum combine shipping to the US......... Stay tuned... The pics don't do it justice - it isn't gray - it's black! |

I posted this elsewhere, but when I ordered my OEM body side moldings today from a Toyota dealership in Windsor, Canada, I asked the parts man about mud flaps. He told me that in the past he had filled orders for mud flaps from all over, including Germany and Belgium for a number of years. However, with the body change, he understood that Toyota in Canada would not be supplied with mud flaps any longer. (He was unaware that they were available in parts of Europe.) Greg |
