Friends: 1 | So far so good. Obviously there is more road noise compared to the stock 15's but they ride pretty well. I didn't get the new version of the tires since they are XL load rated & I wanted to softer ride. |

Friends: 1 | Just an update... Have about 1k miles on the tires and they are a bit nosier than I would have liked but I have a feeling that is largely due to the Prius being pretty wimpy through the doors and the such. I am probably going to be ordering some sound proofing material to add to the doors and the floor real soon. My last tank, I got 47.32 mpg with the new combo. This is only a drop of approximately 3-4 mpg, though this has also included some cooler weather as well as having more people in the car with me. Long story short, I doubt it's much more than a 1-2mpg hit in reality & well worth the better handling as well as potentially much better light snow traction.

Looking at the various tire specs, it looks like 225/45R17's would be a better dimensional match to the stock 15 inch tires, but I'm not sure the wheel well is large enough. In any event, I don't understand the purpose of reporting MPG to 1/100 of a MPG when your accuracy is more like 1/2 MPG (assuming it was accurate with the original tires).

Friends: 1 | Just simply cause I did miles divided by gallons of gas, which goes to two digits. Not really a big deal man. |
