Friends: 0 | I am an avid rider, and my daughter went to Ron Jon this summer, and she wanted to put it on the car, I can not see them in the rear view mirror, so I do not mind. |

Friends: 0 | If I were putting myself at such a great risk (non DOT tint, lower than allowed lumen output, etc), I would certainly count off 1,000 feet and make sure the light output was sufficient. It's a small price to pay to prevent possibly horrible legal repercussions. |

You KNOW this vehicle WILL NOT be street legal - but STILL drive it on public roads? Are YOU insane? We have federal and state vehicular laws for a reason - public safety. How would YOU feel if one of your loved ones rear ends a car because of inadequate lighting? Different story, huh. You KNOW they are illegal and still take it on the road - day or night???? And you're the one that has illegal tinting on your truck windows and joke about it? This is no joke. And the type of language you are using during this thread should get you canned. Yes - feel free to rebel against me now. Act like a child. BTW tint your left eye - that red is way too bright. Last edited by RoyThePriusGuy; 10-01-2009 at 11:30 PM.

I personally put the car in a test chamber at JPL - and found - strangely - that in addition to visible light, this tint gives off ELF waves - at such low frequencies, I believe they may be picked up further north (actually - near the north pole). When I installed them, I was expecting no change in fuel, but hanging my Prius in the wind tunnel from the center mounted eye-bolt showed a .00873% fuel decrease...

Friends: 2 | Seriously? I haven't taken the time to look over in the Gen. II forums but did this happen over there too when someone tinted their taillights? It's not like Anthony is the first and certainly won't be the last. If someone wants to change their car no matter what change it may be technically legal or not, it is their car, they are allowed to do what they want. His lights aren't tinted that dark. There is certainly darker out there. Come to So. Cal, you'll see it everywhere everyday. Even with it not technically being legal. People are willing to take the risk of the ticket. I am and will be one of those. This thread has just become insane. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it. Anthony was obviously happy with his mod and wanted to share the results. No one is forcing anyone to do it themselves or telling you to reply to this thread. If you don't like it, move on. Your opinion isn't needed. If you don't like what someone has done, then keep it to yourself and move on. Plain and simple! Last but not least, if the lady and her 4 kids rear ends you it's probably because she was following too close, probably on the phone and doing her make-up. It's not impossible for it not to be his fault but I'm sure there are plenty of other factors that would contribute to that person rear ending you. Not tinted taillights.

I love the argument: -It's not like Anthony is the first and certainly won't be the last. -If someone wants to change their car no matter what change it may be technically legal or not, it is their car, they are allowed to do what they want. -His lights aren't tinted that dark. There is certainly darker out there. --Even with it not technically being legal. People are willing to take the risk of the ticket. Risk of a ticket ---- The covering is ILLEGAL!!!!!!!! Hey why not tint those ever-so-bright headlights too? Hey man - tell it to the judge. I do hope someone got your trash bin number - begin you kill some innocent. Did some of you folks take stupid pills? You're acting like teenagers pimping up their old 92 Honda.

Friends: 0 | This thread has become some sort of abortion to the 5th power. If you speed tomorrow, even 1mph over, your doing something illegal. If you have tinted windows in some states, no matter what the percentage, it is illegal. When you speed, and you will, think of me, and think about YOUR ticket Johnny law. Some of you guys need some paxil, maybe even Viagra, your wound up way to tight. Last edited by Anthony; 10-02-2009 at 12:14 AM. |
