Friends: 0 | Does anyone one have Instructions or a "How To" on how to install the block heater in a 2010 prius? I have the generic Toyota instructions, but am looking for more detail on the steps that require removing the wiper arms, wiper motor, cowl panel, and inner cowl tray. These steps are not covered in the documentation I have. Any help would be appreciated. thanks, Josh |

That said, if you could please let me know what you paid for it, as I would love to get one myself, and will ask Wayne to assist me too!

thanks for the advice. I actually have been in contact with Wayne (fire engineer), but haven't heard from him in a while. I assume he is busy. With cold weather here I definitely want to get this installed. It doesn't look hard, but I'm not sure on the wiper steps. I picked up my ebh for 49.00 dollars from metrotpn.com later,

Friends: 0 | It's only on the second page of google results for "2010" and "block heater"; I guess there's way more discussion here and in other forums for my details to be more prominent. This was a joint effort from me and Wayne M. earlier this summer. . _H* |

Friends: 12 | Well I've have been a bit busy. The instructions Hobbit posts are similar to those from Toyota, remove the entire windshield cowl. The under car method is much easier and with much less disassembly. Your choice really. But do block up your grill right now and it will help. Wayne |

Friends: 0 | Hello there, Anyone know what the power rating for the engine block heater is? Being in Europe I'd have to run it through a 220/110 converter and I'd like to know if the one I have is "beefy" enough. |

Friends: 33 | You can get a block heater designed for European voltage in parts of Europe. Google is your friend. The ones I found on line mount flat against the back of the block on a machined area by a rear engine mount. |

Friends: 0 | Hello Pat, Thanks for the information. However, I was interested in the original Toyota part, to avoid problems with warranty etc. I'm currently inquiring with Toyota in Denmark/Norway/Sweden as to the availability and price of a 220 V version, but if nothing's available (or if the price is stratospheric), I'll take the US/CAN 110V version - and that's why I'd like to know the wattage. |
