Friends: 0 | Non-Nav cars only have a choice to turn ASL on or off...no variable settings like high or low. |

In case it makes any difference, my audio system is Type B (Owner's Manual pages 291-2). ====== It does make a difference, see page 321. Last edited by fuzzy1; 07-06-2009 at 11:55 PM. | |

Friends: 0 | I've never really cared for the ASL feature. It works ok if you drive with the windows down. It will help to compensate for the wind noise. |

Friends: 3 | The ASL on any Toyota or Lexus I've owned hasn't been very effective. |

Friends: 16 | Navi only has on or off option. And I turned it off and didn't notice anything different to when it was on. I really noticed it going highway to non-highway in the GEN II we rented for the weekend (package #2) but I hear NOTHING on mine! Maybe it's a more gradual raise/decline so I don't notice it?!? I am disappointed that I can't tell it's on cause I thought that feature was great! Guess I'll play around a bit more with my other sound settings and see if I can tell any difference. Thanks for all the comments. :-)
