Friends: 0 | I'm picking up my new 2010 Prius next week. Has anyone had the iPod integration cable installed on theirs? I know you can use the 12V and aux input in the center console but I was interested in using the steering wheel controls and Nav display to work my iPod. Wondering if it's really worth $300 to buy and have Toyota put it in or if I really need it at all. Thanks for your help--I'm really looking forward to joining the Prius crowd! |

Friends: 0 | I'm interested in this too but couldn't get anyone to answer my previous post. If you're a how-to person, you might save some money doing it yourself. It's definitely worth it many times over the aux. It's less cabling, integrated control, and automatic charging. If anyone has it, may I hijack your post and ask how well it works? I say this because I've used the Dice on a 2008 and it works fairly OK and is about half less than the Toyota equivalent for the 2010. |

Friends: 0 | I have the ipod integration in my 2010 prius and the sound quality is great. However, I cannot figure out the controls for ipod thru the integrated system. I dont know how to go to my artists or playlists and CHOOSE certain items that i want to listen to. If you guys know how to work the controls please reply or let me know of a way that i can figure it out. thanks |

radar cruise is the best ever. lane keeper is better at high speed and interstate. Wobbles all over the place if you are slow or on a sloppy painted road.

Friends: 0 | I'm interested in installing the PT545-00082 adapter in a Gen III Prius II that doesn't have a satellite radio installed. I know that this model is satellite radio capable, but here is my question: Even though the satellite radio wasn't installed, is all the hardware and cabling that is needed between the head unit and the glove box connector in place so that I can just plug in the iPod adapter? |

Either way. Once you go iPod, there's no need for sat radio. I had it on a previous car and I'd rarely use it. It's "cool" to say you have it but not as nice as having the music you like at the point of your fingertips, no commercials.

Friends: 0 | FYI, I've bought and will be installing the Dice ipod kit on my Prius II. If anyone's interested in how it works, I'll post an update later this week. I've come to the assumption it works because the original Toyota kit fits the Camry and other 2007+ models just the same as the Dice. |

Friends: 0 | I got my dealer to throw in the Ipod cable (the one that plugs directly into the bag of the head unit) with purchase of my Prius III but did not opt for (even reduced price) dealer installation - yet. I'm hoping I can do this myself if too much doesn't have to be disassembled to plug it in. Can anyone describe / diagram the process of accessing the back of the head unit to plug in the cable? I assume you then would just route it through a hole in one of the glove boxes - a hole that presumably would need to be created? Thanks for any help that you can supply! cheers, -t |
