Friends: 0 | For all the data that the nav screen displays, and the way that it displays it, I was surprised when I changed the volume on the stereo and a banner slid down from the top reading "VOL_05". All caps? A leading zero? An underscore? I'd expect a graphic bar display like used for the tone controls, or at the very least, text reading "Volume 5". Having this common piece of info displayed in "computerese" seems like a mistake. It's almost like a localization key that's not being found (I'm tempted to try a different language, but I'm afraid I'd get my UI stuck in Spanish and not be able to find my way back out). Has the Prius always shown volume on the nav screen like this, or is it something peculiar to the '10? |
