Friends: 4 | This is an odd problem. My radio worked fine until last wednesday, I used SAT radio daily for traffic and weather every morning. Now from one day to the next it doesn't even select SAT when I push the AM-SAT button, it only gets AM1. It doesn't go to any other AM such as AM2 if there is one ( I don't know for sure there is, I never listen to AM, but would like to hear if there is an AM2). My trial subscription wont expire until the 11th and even then I should be able to at least select SAT and hear their promotional channel. I haven't been fooling with the radio or surrounding dash panels (lately ;P) and I did try pulling and replacing the jumper in the underhood fuse box. That wiped my mileage info but did not restore the SAT radio. Any ideas? |

The Sat program is only good (free) for 90 days. If you've had the car longer then that it hasexpired and needs to be renewed. | |

Friends: 4 | That's how it has worked in other sat radios I've had, plus I received a letter from XM saying it expires on the 11th and it is now the 7th as I write this. Does anyone know if there is actually an AM2? And I pulled the jumper pin to 'reset' the radio, but the presets are still set. I was trying to avoid losing the mileage info but since I already lost that I'm thinking of disconnecting the battery ground and see if that helps. Any other suggestions? |

Friends: 0 | I believe it is one AM and Sat 1, 2 and 3. I bought my Prius thru a broker so I never got the trial period, but I do get the promo channel. Above info confirmed by the manual, page 296. Quote:

Friends: 0 | Just for the sake of completeness I'll point out that if you never had Sat radio installed you only get AM1. |

Friends: 4 | Well I called the dealer and they had never heard of this happening to anyone, so they asked me to bring it in. I guess that's what warranties are for, so I'm taking it in tomorrow. I'll post whatever updates after that. EDIT: The dealer concluded the radio was to blame and has ordered a replacement under warranty. We'll see next week if that takes care of it.
