Default My Iphone is playing music via bluetooth instead of Aux jack - can't control volume - help!

I guess because my phone is synced to the car for bluetooth connection, I don't have to connect my iphone to the aux jack to play music. I learned this because as I was driving I tried to make a call and did a voice command which my phone mistook for play music and so it started to play music at a very loud volume through the car speakers. I couldn't turn the volume down through the stereo or through the iphone. Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?!

I sometimes play music from my iPhone through Bluetooth and the volume controls generally work for me. Did you try the steering wheel volume controls? I normally use those and know they work for adjusting bluetooth streamed music.

the stereo volume controls do not control the volume of you bluetoothed iPod. In order to control the volume for that, you should only use the bluetooth volume control that is on your dash that is just below the ignition start, just to the right and a little below your sterring column. At least that is the way it is on my bluetooth system that was installed by either the importer or the dealer. The stereo volume only controls the stereo. the blue tooth control only controls the volume of the iPhone or iPod.

Hmmmm..i don't have a bluetooth volume control. Strangely enough I experimented a bit more since posting. So my ipod volume is controlled through the stereo volume controls but my iphone is not (when use the ipod feature on it and play music). and the volume control on my iphone doesn't seem to change anything either. Strange...I'm baffled.
