Using W and P in contact phone numbers

I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 and uploaded my contacts into the Navigation System (2010 US Model III w/ navigation). The contacts came through perfectly, with the P for pause and W for wait, but when I dial the number through the navigation system, the P or W does not work.

I have to use send tones through voice recognition to enter extensions or to select options in voice mail.

I then tried to enter a contact manually with the P or W, but it still does not work. The Nav system sends the phone number by bluetooth to the Storm but not the P or W.

I suspect a software glitch in the Navigation software's contact manager.

try a comma
