Yes, I saw that separation the day I first looked over our new car. But I just chalked it up to the current proliferation of plastic in modern society and figured it was just something I'd have to live with. I might feel a little "picky" about asking the dealer to fix that, especially for free. Maybe I'll try it myself if I think I can do it without making a mess out of the project. Thanks for the info~!

I had the same issue and the service department's initial attemp to fix it hasn't quite worked. The hook cannot be cinched down tight enough to keep it at the correct angle to hold the net. My dealership's sales manager said that they don't have an "official" fix from Toyota, but the service guys have devised a better way to fix the issue. I'll have them fix this it the 5K mile oil change.

Let me know what you guys find the "better" fix to be. Mine spin freely, but do hold the net in place.

Hi-Hoping the issue with your cargo net is resolved. On a side note, I see you have the Pliko P3 stroller, which is the same stroller we have. We have a 2010 on order, and just wondering how the stroller, along with the cargo net, and any other items (groceries, etc). fits in the back of your Prius? Thanks.

There's a message today at our internet dealer communications site that the Prius 2010 cargo is n/a right now... for an undisclosed period of time. That means they are working on this "fix" or redesign...

After Danny's suggestion to call Toyota to get this issue logged, I did just that. They took all of my information and then told me to take it to a dealer for an inspection. The service department at my local dealer took a look at it, said it's only attached to one panel, and that they'd leave the "ticket open" and see what they hear back from Toyota. So...we'll see. So far there isn't any extra separation of the panels, but I've only used the cargo net to hold very light items. Not sure if I should stop using it, or just use it like I have been.

My dealer just took it off. They left it with me, but they also suggested I not use it until they (or Toyota) develop a "correct" way to attach it. I really pressed this issue with my dealer and the Toyota regional rep.

Thanks to HTMLSpinnr's early word on this, and several dogged complaints from me and others, I believe Toyota has properly responded by saying the cargo net is not available until further notice.

The panels on ours were starting to separate after just a few days. I took it off. We will ask the service dept when it goes in for the 5k.
Thanks for the heads up!

Walking out the garage door now to remove my cargo net and check for separation. Thanks for the tip all!
