Default Cost Of 5K Ongoing Oil Changes @ Toyota Prius Dealer?

As of yesterday, my wife (and I) are the new owners of a 2010 Series V (w/AT).

What can we expect to pay for the ongoing 5K oil-change services at the typical Toyota Prius dealer?

Probably the same as a Toyota Camry dealer or Toyota Yaris dealer, but I'm not certain.

My dealer wants $110 for the 5,000 mile check (plus a premium for using synthetic oil) but it's much less if you just ask for an oil/filter change and tire rotation.

Why not just ask your dealer? Most have a published price list for standard mile services. You can probably check close-by dealers, too.

I asked mine and they skirted the answer - probably because I only asked how much more the 0W-20 oil change was ;-)

Gee Thanks . . . I never thought of that. Seriously though, the reason I'm asking is because when I was signing the purchase docs with the Finance guy at our dealer this week, he offered us: 3 oil changes for $89.95. When I asked what the cost of a single oil change is at his dealership he stated it was around $75.

Next week I will get around to asking someone in the service department.

$75 sounds awfully high to me though. But if true . . then 3 for $89.95 sounds like a good deal.

I called the dealer i bought mine from, and asked what does it cost to get an oil change on a 2010 prius, he said 34.99. I asked if that included synthec oil and he said no that would be 45$ and i asked how much way tire rotation he said 16.99

Kirk Toyota in Grenada MS, $26 for the oil change with filter, $13 to rotate tires, $42 total.

It will not be sensible to 'commute' from SoCal to MS to have this done. BTW, there is no need to have this service done at a dealer, but at $42 there is no reason not to.

Agree, not much reason to go elsewhere, either: $28.95 for oil & filter on a 2010 Prius, downloadable coupon right on the dealer site.

My dealer charged about $36 dollars...just had first change (at 1k) too bad they had to redo it for free since they used 5W20 instead of 0W20 the first time (so I guess that is really 2 changes)...
