Friends: 4 | I have the verizon Dare phone which works perfect with both of my GenII prius's but not so true with the Gen III. It links to the phone just fine but all I have to do is mess with any of the buttons on the touchscreen "on my phone" and I can hear the "plunk" sound that my phone makes when touching the screen come through the Nav speakers and everytime I touch it, they get louder with each touch. If I access the internet "as I often check weather", the nav screen thinks there is a call waiting and often won't go away even after getting off the internet with my phone. In fact, sometimes I don't have to do anything at all other than touch the face of my phone and the nav screen automatically thinks Im in a call even though I haven't called anyone or even gone online with my phone. When the nav screen that thinks a call is waiting it impossible for me to make a phone call by using the nav screen... the only way to do it in those circumstances is to use my phone directly. Another issue: When I do make a phone call, it takes quite a while before the other person can hear me as well as recieving calls... when a call comes in, I have to say "hello" two or three times before they hear me. Anyone else have these problems?

Friends: 6 | This has been a common complaint from those of us with iphones. Either the phone makers or the stereo makers (i.e., Toyota's suppliers) have screwed up the bluetooth programming in some way. |

Did you have these problems with GenII? And how do you suppose we will be able to get an update to fix it? I have my dealer checking into it but no word back yet.

Friends: 6 | I didn't have this problem with my 2004 Prius and I don't have it with my 2007 HyCam. If it's the nav or stereo, I have my doubts about seeing a fix, since that would imply the firmware could be updated in some way, but maybe some of the software or stereo guys here know something more than we do. |

yea, I don't know if it has running software onboard or just firmware... if its unique to my phone, I can get another phone, but if not.. they need to fix it. I assume its the vendor that made the bluetooth.... I don't know if updated drivers can be loaded or if its firmware.. in either case, it should be able to be updated.

Friends: 4 | Well I had an appointment to go to the dealer. They were going to link it up with another nav system and see if the same problems persisted and then maybe even link it up with another "type" of nav system.... at least that was the game plan until I simply just rebooted my phone. I haven't had any problems since!...... LOL! Its amazing how long we go without rebooting our cellphones! I imagine it went from being linked to my old nav in my 2006 to being linked with this one and it needed to be reset to not mix the two "even though I had deleted the old connection".... Humm.... I don't know..... But a good reboot is good for everyone I guess! |

Friends: 2 | OH man...same issues here...I'm totally going to reboot my cell phone when I go out to lunch in a bit...see if that makes a difference. I've also noticed on my Nav system that I can pick different channels for the BT connection- is one channel any different from another? |

Really?.... I missed that.... . where's it at? That could make a difference if there are other devices in the area. I don't know what the normal default channels are for other devices but when configuring Wi-fi, most routers transmit on Channel 6 and a few will use 11 or 1 to try and get away from 6. So if you pick something besides those 3 channels your likely to avoid traffic with other routers in the area. I don't know if that same rule applies for bluetooth.. but on the road there are tons of other cars and phones around.... You may be onto something. But at any rate, mine still works perfect since I rebooted my phone.
