The oldest one is a 13 years old supercharged 4Runner with over 180K miles and still runs strong as new. Just my experience.
I see. I have a question about it. Do you need a specific filter to go along with that Amsoil 25K 0W20 change?

You hit the right point. To use the extended-change-interval oil, oil filter is very very important. Amsoil oil EOA filter and Mobil 1 filter are extra large capacity. Of course they cost more too. Normal filter should not be used with Amsoil.

So, would the extra large capacity Amsoil filter fit the new Prius? I'm not sure if all filters have the same size; this is just my ignorance in the subject.

Amsoil doesn't have an oil filter for 2010 Prius yet. That's why I did not use Amsoil for my first oil change. Once they are available, I shall consider using it next time.

Just had my oil and filter changed. They did use OW-20. They did a check of all fluids and other things, checked the tire pressure and adjusted. The cost was $67.49 with taxes. I was told the cost for the complete 5000m service will be $149. The service manager told me he heard that the service interval may change on the 2010's. I told him I'll see him at 5000 or 10,000. BTW, the mechanic said the oil looked like new (after 2500m). I am driving from Maryland to south Florida and return next week. That's why I went ahead and changed the oil now.

Just had the 5000 mile service, after the first 6 weeks of ownership. We purchased the Prius on Aug 22. I have an 140 mile round trip to work, so the miles do come fast. The service cost $105, since the synthietic oil is a bit more pricey, but they checked everything out - no problems at all (no surprise).

Welcome to our High Mileage Club, high traveling mileage in addition to high gas mileage. I expect to put over 40K miles this coming year.

Sounds like a competition.

Geistemite vs. hschen vs. Indyking

Who will put more miles on their Prius by the end of 2010?

We all have around 5K right now. So, shall we begin?

Wait, mine will be in the shop for one week replacing the door I accidentally damaged, so I'm in big disadvantage here

Just had a 4000 mile service. car is seven weeks old. oil change with Toyota synthetic ( with coupon) and fixing the reverse beep to one beep only. Total cost: $10.55. Planning on Mobil 1 pure synthetic next oil change. 8k or 10k miles? I'm not sure yet.

Did I mention that the annoying reverse beep has been reset to a single beep. Halleluyah!

2010 Prius II Winter gray metallic. No package.

This will be fun to watch.
I only do 100miles round trip commute now. I used to do 240miles a day (1200 per week) for 3yrs between SF & Monterey. I wish i had Gen 3 Prius then but better late than never.
When I was using Amsoil with 25k oil change interval on my Integra I use to change the oil filter around 12k miles.
