Friends: 9 |  Re: Tire rotatation Just have them rotated with your oil changes. That'll be every 5,000 miles or if you want to go with the new unofficial as of yet change, every 10,000 miles. You may ask, what is this unofficial as of yet change of changing your oil every 10,000 miles? You can read about it here: http://priuschat.com/news/toyota-upp...-toyota-models Rotating your tires is important. Is it important enough to do at 5,000 miles? I feel it can wait for you to do your oil change, if that is 6,000 7,000 miles etc, just have it done at that time. But don't exceed 10,000 miles, that's just not good.

Friends: 0 | Re: Tire rotatation front/back or left/right? It depends on whether your tires are directional or not. If the alignment is good, front-back should be sufficient. Rotate tires as frequent as you can afford. I do it every two oil changes. |

Friends: 1 | Re: Tire rotatation Unless you do it yourself or go to a place that rotates them for free you'll pay as much as a new set of tires for all the rotations. I just leave mine alone until just before it snows and then make sure the best is on the front (ok insert groans here). Save your money for new tires. |

Also, if you want to save money, just rotate your tires once at the 5,000 mile point, and then every 10,000 miles thereafter. (15,000, 25,000, 35,000, etc.) It's exactly the same as rotating them every 5,000 miles, but with fewer changes. If you do the math, you'll see what I mean. At no point and time will one set have more than 5,000 miles over the other... Bryan |
