Friends: 1 | Great Job A64! Your becoming a PRO at this hypermiling stuff! Great Job and keep up the good job. One question on the BEST MPG guage, does that run all the time and really you should not reset it correct?? I would assume that would defeat the purpose... Thanks, Bob |

Friends: 3 | You had to go and do it, and ruin a holiday for all the US drivers who can't crack 50, much less 70. ![]() |

Friends: 3 | excellent job, My goal is always to keep the high average over the life of a tank of gas. When you start off with a high average it starts to drive you crazy if it starts to dip a little. |

Friends: 4 | Very nice! Let us know what the final tank ends up at; and even better, the calculated mpg after a couple of tanks. |

Friends: 0 | This was unusual for many reasons. It's a trip I take every weekend with my son to fly model airplanes, so I know the terrain and can anticipate what's coming up. Fifty two miles or so each way. During the week, I take a lot of short trips, it's 4.2 miles to work etc., Plus I'm not the only driver, My wife averages around 50 MPG and you know how that kills averages, and I'm learning. I started out around 50 MPG, now above 60 MPG for a full tank. 64.3 the best so far for a full tank, that was the 632 reading just before this one. The Dealer had put 5W-30 in the car and I saw about a 3 or 4 MPG hit there, now I have 0W-20 Mobil 1 and it DOES make a difference, plus the Dealer had it a little over filled, now it's a little below the full mark. Slightly cooler wx, I'm learning, and maybe the car is "looser" now. All this is calculated, not actual, actual is of course lower |

Friends: 1 | I got up this morning and told my self I am going to break 72 MPG today in my travels. My best record is 87.7 MPG at 14 miles but that is too short of a trip. This tread is the reason for the challenge. I am in sales and did this between accounts. This is in Ohio that is dead flat and my average speed was 52 MPH. I also did not have the hub caps on today. |

Friends: 0 | Methinks you reset the trip meter on a car that was already warmed up and up to speed, and used quite a bit of battery power there at the last to bump up the mileage? If you slowed down to 45 or less, I think you would have blown 80 MPG out of the water doing that. But it fun isn't it? Hey for me that's part of the reason for doing it. |
