Friends: 2 | I've seen the other poll on what type of actual (calculated) MPG Gen III owners are getting but obviously those of you who live in a flat area are going to get different results than those of us who live in more hilly areas. (As you can see in my sig my average MPG is not that great compared to what others are reporting.) This poll is therefore designed to get a general sense of how much of a factor terrain plays in the type of fuel economy Gen III owners can expect. Obviously "hilly" means different things to different people but let's just say that if you can climb it without going into the PWR zone then it's not a hill. I've made it a multiple choice poll so that those of you who have driven in different locales can give an answer for each. It's also public, to encourage honesty and facilitate discussion. Finally, please indicate your average MPG rather than your best tank. Last edited by cpatch; 09-14-2009 at 01:59 PM. |

That would put the poll at 72 questions (the max is 25) and get way too confusing! Just go with an average. Last edited by cpatch; 09-13-2009 at 03:47 AM.

You're right on the complexity, of course. The problem will be that there are MANY interrelated factors affecting our mpg, not just the one additional factor I suggested. And one guy able to drive downhill bothways (!) will frustrate the heck out of us...

Does that disqualify me? Oops, sorry, I just noticed this thread is in the Gen III forum. I guess I really am getting too old. Last edited by Fred_H; 09-13-2009 at 04:51 AM. Reason: I don't remember
