Friends: 9 | Take a look at the picture I posted with the accessories, it's like a 3m type clear adhesive film that goes kind of halfway up the hood and protects the hood from rock chips etc. Upper left pic: Last edited by Paradox; 05-07-2009 at 08:50 PM. |

Friends: 4 | I was trying and trying to get into the "Build your Prius" - and every time the '09 version comes up.... then recalled a few mentions here about the different sales regions in the U.S. I'm in FL and in the SE region - heard they may have different (can you say higher...) pricing. So...I plugged in a Chicago zip code in the home page and - bam...got into the Build area. Should be interesting to check out regional pricing differences. Now I'll build a Midwest my-car.... |

Friends: 12 | The paint protection film is (I think) made by 3M. If you search for clear bra on google, you will get an idea of what it is. And retail on the door sills is $269.00 not installed. FYI, those prices assume installation at port, or PPO items. If you do them afterwards, expect the prices to be a touch higher due to dealer labor rates. In other words, if you want them, have the dealer change your order if possible. They can do that at anytime before it ships. |

You're right... I didn't notice but when I used my zip code and entered a Prius V the only option I had available was the Advanced Tech package. So then I used a zip for Sacramento California and it showed me for the Prius V an option for the Navigation and another option for the Advanced Tech. I wonder if they really will force people in this area to get the advanced tech in order to get navi on a Prius V...

Friends: 12 | The only thing I would caution you on is being able to access the panel where the switch goes and the extra wiring involved. If you are like me, I don't mind tinkering with that, so it is no big deal to me. I think every car I had I have customized in some way. |

Thanks Jeff, I got a one day pass to that Toyota site and got all sorts of manuals etc, one being the installation instructions for the illuminated door sills. It's a pretty straight forward install, but like you said for one who doesn't mind tinkering with these kind of things. I for one actually enjoy it so no biggie...

Friends: 10 | My Build Your Prius shows the 2010 interior not the 09. Maybe they fixed it already? But it still shows the engine as 1.5L |
