New Impreza Coming in 2011 - with lower cost and better MPG - NASIOC

"Fuji Heavy Industries plans to roll out an all-new Impreza in 2011, which will consume 30% less fuel than the current Impreza."

That would make it go from 22 to 29 mpg. Hopefully, that's for the base model with the hybrid getting 35+.

"The first generation Impreza was released back in 1992. The latest was released in 2007 as the third generation Impreza."

Oops. That would mean it's late summer of 2011 for a 2012 model. Not sure how they can do that with the new Legacy making the identically priced Impeza Outback Sport obsolete in so many ways, e.g., fuel economy, tank size, interiors, comfort.
