Friends: 8 |  2010 Prius Recall Update: Toyota has posted an official release indicating that this safety recall does not affect the 2010 Prius. It does affect the 2004-2009 Prius (as well as the following cars: • 2007 – 2010 Camry • 2005 – 2010 Avalon • 2004 – 2009 Prius • 2005 – 2010 Tacoma • 2007 – 2010 Tundra • 2007 – 2010 ES350 • 2006 – 2010 IS250 and IS350 Mods, can this post title be edited to reflect updated information, and move to the Gen 2 forum? Original Post: Watching CNBC a few minutes ago, and they announced that Toyota has issued a recall for certain 2010 vehicles, apparently including the Prius. The recall is related to the clips that hold the floor mats in place, and if they fail, can cause the floor mats to get stuck on the accelerator, causing an accident. Details to follow... This seems to much much wider that the Prius, as it affects many Toyotas from 2004 through 2010, apparently including all Toyoto Prius from 2004 through 2010 * Edit 3:33 Central Time: All we know now is that the recommendation is to simply remove the driver's side floor mat, and not replace it until a new fastener hook is replaced.
