I have a similar rattle which occurs more often when the temperature drops. At times it occurs on both sides. I am anxious to hear what you find. Please have your dealer take photos.

the problem went away by the time i went to the dealer, which was frustrating; it does come and go. he did notice that my hood was making some noise; a part of it was loose (the hinge on the left side? not sure what it's called), and after tightening it went away.

hmm blueumbrella, it's only starting to get colder down here in Texas, but it is still fairly warm. I guess I'll see what happens in November/December.

Are there gaps around the black border and the side pillar panel or is the panel pressed against the small glass/black border there?

No gaps at all.. it's definitely from the dashboard as well
