Prius III with Solar Roof is finally in Texas!!!

I believe in June I post something with the title No Solar Roof Package in Texas. So I was forced to order the Prius IV with SR package which cost me a couple thousands more compare to what I am looking for with the Prius III with SR. I ordered my Prius IV last month for the SR package but today I found out they rejected my order because they are no longer having the package code SR for the solar roof and now they have it as SY which comes with that SOS and the USB IPOD thing. So I thought I have to wait another 6-8 weeks before I can get my car and today in the afternoon they called me and told me they can get the Prius III with the Solar Roof and it doesn't comes with the SOS thing ( I am not going to use it after the 12 months trail) The package code for the Prius III's Solar Roof package is now call the SW package, which has everything the SR does plus the USB Iphone interface. They told me the car will be in the port by the 18th. So for anyone else that were looking for the Prius III w/ SR but force to order the IV w/SR , now you can get it the way you want it. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know NY is not getting them yet. I went to North Carolina to get mine in August and NY told me that they wouldn't get them for 6 months. I really hope Toyota gets smart and starts shelling out those III with solars.

my dealer in orlando, fl, had 2 pkg III's with solar sitting on the lot when i was there yesterday. they are a big volume dealer also.

my IV, red, with solar roof/Nav is on its way, will be in Houston Texas 11/20. If indeed true that I will be able to take delivery just before Thanksgiving, it means that I waited 11 weeks to get the Prius just like I wanted. Not great but within the 3 months initially relayed as a worse case scenario waiting time. I have been offered several other models Prius with different options since I ordered mine to shorten the time, but I am glad I waited.

Congrats! I live in Delaware, but had to go to Massachussetts to get mine. I LOVE my Prius III with solar!

i just got my 3 with the roof. i waited almost 3 months for it... the cool thing was it grabbed it right when it came off the truck. it had two miles on it!

Got the III (Blizzard Pearl) with solar in September from my dealer in Florida. He "ordered" it-- I wanted the dark gray interior and leather from the port-- and I received it within a month! Love it. Much different than my '06 Prius, and much nicer.
