Yes, we Prius owners can be smug as well LoL as if the world didn't know

In fact I can bet the MPG will fall with these wheels. The OEM 17" and the 15" caps almost cover the wheel area, helping the aerodinamics.

These pretty wheels are all but aerodinamic. The turbulance on these ones is horrible as hell. I'm not sure the reduced weight is enough to compensate the terrible cd. I think not.
Agreed. That is why I only gave them a 2mpg benefit over the cheaper but heavier wheel. This also assume you don't go too large in diameter otherwise you put too much weight on the outermost portion of the wheel and it will require more energy to spin the wheel thus lowering mileage further.

IMO though, they are not worth $3000 for a set. They are not HRE afterall.

OH come on guys, but the 20's on and pump up the psi's to 100! ** **

On a more serious note, the overall weight of the rims DO matter for mpg's and
even though i switched over to the touring rims and potenza G 09-s, mileage hasn't
really suffered BUT the handling and overall feel has been 50% increased from the
stock integrity's.

The sensors are built into the valve stem. There is a plastic bulge on the inside of the wheel with the electronics in it. They can be moved to the Volk wheels, according to those who purchased them for the GII Prius.
It's the CE28s that were made for the Prius, and that's the one I'm expecting a 17" to appear. Currently the weights are:
ce28 ecodrives
15 inch: 10.1 lbs
16 inch: 10.8 lbs
Quite a bit lighter than stock! But of course the tire would have the same weight, and it's out farther from the hub, so would have more effect on mileage. But the lighter wheels would probably handle better on rough roads!
