Default smart key problem

Hi guys, I am new and this is our first prius. I have a question about the smart key. I have trouble in that the door will not open when it is raining. I tried later, and the smart key worked just fine. Yesterday I took the car to the dealer and it was raining hard when they checked it. The key smart key opened the car without problems. Do any of you guys have the same problem or a solution to my problem. Thank you for your help.

Well if I recollect correctly, the manual warns that the SKS function may not work properly if there is water on the door handle. So I don't think it is really malfunctioning so much as this is a limitation of the system. In these cases you may just have to use the buttons on the key fob.

The door handle switch is very sensitive to water...I found out while washing the car with key fob in my pocket, as water hit the door it repeatedly locked and unlocked..I learned to leave the key in the house...
