Default I disconnected my 12v battery yesterday

While working on my car yesterday, I disconnected my 12v battery for about 20 minutes.

Here is what was reset:

- FM/AM presets on the NAV
- Color theme setting on NAV
- Mileage history on MFD
- Fuel consumption and trip meters

What was preserved:

- Odometer (of course)
- NAV customization settings (other than color)
- Audio settings (all I have set is DSP off)
- SAT presets
- MAP view customized settings and zoom level
- Door lock programming
- Bluetooth settings (need to verify the microphone settings)

Also, strangely, when I went to turn the car on, it first went directly "ON" mode without becoming ready. (I did have my foot on the brake.) About 20 seconds later, I put my foot on the brake again and hit start and now it was ready. It must have been booting up the high voltage ECU's or something....

It should also keep the back up beep setting, or at least mine did.

Here's another one, that's VERY easy to miss:
- the "Search Area" in the NAV.

You need to reset it to your region using the Destination/Address (or "Point of Interest" or "Intersection & Freeway") search. See p. 50 of the NAV Owners Manual.

This is really annoying if you forget to reset it; the NAV won't locate something that's even 100 feet away from you, if this is set incorrectly!

You're right! I went to look for a freeway onramp and it was looking somewhere on the east coast. Very odd since almost everything else is retained.

I forgot to mention the clock was reset as well. :-)
