I am a first-time Prius owner, I ordered my T3 (1.8 model) on 25th September and picked it up on 12th October, so no problems with availability!

Thanks to Mark at Ipswich Toyota for a painless process. The garage took away my Carina E with 163k on the clock for scrappage (sob), certainly a very different driving experience in store for me.

The car has the protection pack and iPod interface. The latter didn't come with any instructions, it worked with the salesman's iPod touch but I haven't got it to work with my iPod, hopefully further info later on this. As per picture in brochure the interface is a USB socket next to the 3.5mm aux socket, so uses your own white iPod interface cable.

The manual is a monster at over 500 pages (plus a DVD video), loads of useful and not-so useful info - iridium tipped spark plugs for example!

Hi all. Did not realise the Group existed until inited by Floppyarms - many thanks. I am very lucky in that I just picked up my new Gen 3 Prius on Wednesday 28th October having placed the order in August. An 'Orion Blue' T-Spirit with iPod Kit, boot mat and floor mats as extras. My first Prius and love it - biggest challenge will be keeping the mileage down and the light interior clean!

Hi. I'm Dave and my Novus Grey T-Spirit with LED Tech and Protection packs is currently on order, expected delivery mid January 2010. It will be a company car with all the tax breaks a hybrid brings to that!

I'll be replacing my 5 year old Vectra diesel. I wanted to downsize, as 80% of the time I'm on my own in the car, and my wife has a Zafira for when the whole family needs to travel. I looked at the VM Golf Bluemotion, but the spec of the Prius is so much better. And when I had a test drive, the HUD sold it to me! (We're all still 8 years old at heart, aren't we?)

My only concern is that the Prius will be the first automatic I've owned, although I've driven several. That, combined with the position of the parking brake, means I might have to tie my left leg to something, in case it tries to go for the "clutch"!

WOW, welcome new friends. What started as just me being a simpleton and wanting some UK specific chit chat seems to be growing and growing - win!

Sounds like some of you are haveing to be as patient as me waiting for Prius deliveries. My Peugeot 407 seems to be throwing more and more problems each day.

Does anyone know if this could cause problems when i go in to exchange? IE we agreed a part-exchange but in the last few weeks a few issues have arisen and the car is starting to really break. Could Toyota change their agreement or make me foot the bill for repairs?

Hi. I.m Alan and ordered a 2009 (2010 to the USA) Prius back in October when my V reg Astra suddenly became worth £2000 off a new car thanks to the scrappage scheme extension. Delivery is due next week so am getting a little excited. Will be sad to see the Astra go to scrap - it still goes well after 170000 miles but only does 36MPG and is getting a rather long 'advisory' list.
