Hail!

I'm from Hungary, and i own a 2006 Prius since a month. well, i think i don't hae to explain it, why do we think that it is wonderful! It eats about 5-7 l/km!! Our 1.3 Ford Fiesta eats one liter more!
Its motors are totally extrem! You just pick down into "D", push down the pedal on the right, and looook out! It's amazing, when you get the Nm-s and Hp-s to your back. And it's extremly quiet! We often use it over 100 km/h, but it is soooooosoooooo quiet and economical! It hasn't got any enemy at the traffic lamps, because of the 400+ Nm-s.
In the city, it always uses its EV mode, so than the consumption is 0 l/km! Could any diesel or petrol car reach this?
I hope there are much more hungarian priuses, and they found this topic.

Byebye!

Max.
Welcome to PriusChat and congratulations on your new Prius.

Pull up a comfortable chair and pour yourself a nice drink. There is much to read here about your fascinating car.

Interesting letter. Can you explain what you mean by:
"when you get the Nm-s and Hp-s to your back."

Just curiosity!

Something went wrong with my earlier post.

I wonder if you can explain what you mean by the above?

Madmax will certainly have more to say Oxo, but I suppose the reference was to newton meters of torque and horsepower.

He/she is probably referring to the high torque (Newton metres) and power, the way you get a pushed into the seat ("to your back") when accelerating from a full stop ("lamps", red light).
