Disabling the Reverse Beep

Yes, it works on a 2008 Touring. What an annoyance!

Thanks Tideland, it worked great on my 2008 touring also.
It's great to not hear that incessant beeping as I back up.

Does the Reverse Beep sound only inside the car, or can people around the car hear it like construction equipment?

My O5 has it disabled. If it only for the inside, I'll leave well enough alone.
I was disappointed that is was Disabled since we have a lot of young kids on bikes and big wheels on our street.

Just did this to my 2008 Standard and it works. What a difference it makes. Thanks for the mod.......

It took me about a dozen tries before I succeeded in getting the "b on/b off" to show up. I followed the instructions exactly but couldn't get anything but the "Trip A" to display. What finally helped me was to take my foot off the brake when going from reverse to park. Maybe this tip will help others.

Thanks everyone for the instructions. I'm enjoying the silence.

To all: You're very welcome but I didn't find this. IIRC, I saved it from efusco's KB thread from the old PriusChat so he should get credit for it.
