I wouldn't recommend Sandy Hook yet. Even if the day is nice, the wind there can be brutal this time of year. We might want to try for something there in late May, before Memorial Day so we don't have to pay admission.

Don't know if I'll be able to make anything this month. The next couple of weekends are already booked, and I think the 3d weekend might be as well.

I'm thinking SH is waaaaaay too cold for these bones I put on a hooded sweat jacket just to ride around my complex yesterday afternoon and I'm no where near water.

I leave for Rome on May 23rd. Big party my house on Sat., May 19th to send my son and I off and to celebrate my (egads!) 50th! Una festa Italiana! (I'm cooking . If I've met you, you're invited to attend.

I picked the last place. I think all of the regulars except for Robert has had a turn picking.

How about Robert or one of the newbie people pick the next place?

We had a really great time meeting at the Cornerstone despite the fact the place was closed. Just goes to show you what a great crowd we have

OK, what say you?

Hrrmmmm? I'm having a difficult time thinking of a place that would have the requisite parking and decent food in the same place. But, I’ll take a stab at it…

How about at the Blue Rock in Keyport the weekend of April 28th… we can decide on Sat or Sunday depending on majority consensus.

The lot is decent sized and the food is decent. There’s an outside seating area with views of the bay and marina. Plus there’s a old fashioned bowling game (the type where you slide the puck to knock down pins) that is still $ 0.25.

here's the google map: http://www.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=blu...m=1&iwloc=A

and the url for the place: http://www.fishbox.tv/bluerock/index.html

Well, since I've never made one yet, my vote counts for little; but 4/29/07 is definitely out for me, 2 traveling soccer games to get to in two different counties...if it's Saturday, 4/28/07, at least I have a chance to make it.

I'm down.

Either day is good for me.

Haven't been that way in ages. Looking forward to it.

Another place to consider is JJ Bitings at Woodbridge train station.
Big lot and I don't think it is a problem on the weekends. open saturdays noon.

I'm thinking of moving back to NY just to join the LI Prius group. At least they gather a crowd!

Right now, we have me and Smitty somewhere in Keyport where I'm going to kick his bumper at a funky bowling game I used to play as an underaged teenager in dive bars waaaaay back in the day.

Here's the URL for the Blue Rock (looks cool!).

http://www.fishbox.tv/bluerock/index.html

With all the Prius' I see in NJ, I can't believe we can't gather some assemblance of a crowd.

Oh well.

Count me in for Saturday the 28th at the Blue Rock in Keyport.
I hope we are meeting there at or around Noon that day.

I also plan to bring my bike and show off my rack.
