My Car: Other Non-Hybrid Package: N/A Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | I am approaching 72 (age, not speed). I am hoping for an early death for my current car. Every time I buy a new car I think "this may be the last one". I remember thinking that back in the 50s when I bought my first VW (32 hp). My future Prius will actually, probably, maybe, perhaps, be my last car. All seriousness aside, I am holding out for the plug-in Prius. |

My Car: 2006 Prius Package: #4 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 4 | why wait?? my dad had a 2005 Camry with 15,000 miles on it. sold it, bought a 2007 Prius. lost a TON on the exchange. and he has ZERO regret.... actually not true. he was in the market for a 2005 Prius, but could not wait the estimated 8-12 weeks... so he settled for the Camry... not waiting was his only regret |

If the plug-in model ever comes, it likely be a very expensive add on option (I'm guessing at least $5000. for the first years!). If, as you mention, a wife is involved.... that price would be a problem! So while you are still young enough to enjoy a Prius, go for it! p.s. My uncle bought an new Cad when he turned 95! He died at 99 and only made right hand turns when he was still driving! Lee. |

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | The latest rumors are that the 2010 model will be a plug-in version. I for one wouldn't buy one until it has been out for a couple of years. I don't want to be a beta tester for Toyota again. Go for the 08 or 09 and enjoy the car. |
