My Car: 2008 Prius Package: #2 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Got my 2008 Black Prius with Package #2 on 03/29/08. Love the car but somewhat disappointed with the mileage so far (Around 38 MPG as per display). Perhaps 130 miles is too early to judge. Hoping it will get better. |

But, in ten weeks, I've worked it up to 42, 48, & now 50-something. Keep reading the threads for the "best practices" -- they turn out to be rather different from driving a conventional car. Looking at the tips seems like I had it wrong. That's good. Slow acceleration was not helpful in NJ traffic. |

Incidentally that's what person at the dealership who handed over the car to me suggested. On a related note I wonder why the sales people on most of the dealerships are so clueless about the product they are selling. Do they expect everyone to walk in without doing any home work. I just hope the service people are better. |
