I just bought a 04 Prius with the #9 package! What fun!
What is the cheapest way to upgrade the navigation system?

Congratulations on your Prius. I think the cheapest way of upgrading the navigation would be to buy an aftermarket stand alone gps device. I think the new disc is about $250 bucks at the dealership. I think you can get them on ebay for about 100 or so, but I'm not for sure they would work on your unit.

Welcome to PriusChat, digidus! If you're tempted to get an update DVD for your nav system, be aware that the 04-05 Prius uses a different DVD than 06+ because of a change in the display to higher resolution. A search here on PC for DVD version will most likely find a thread with the specific Toyota part numbers listed.
