My Car: 2008 Prius Model: Package: Base Thanks: 0

Friends: 0 | i wish i was that lucky to get some kind of discount. i think i overpaid for my base magnetic grey. Apparently toyota doesn't make enough of the lower priced standard for $21,500 (before destination charge). So it was base for $23,535 (including destination) I had to settle for a gray one rather than a silver pine mica. Overall, it was $23990 before TT because of some kind of car door edge plastic they put on as well as some non-corrosive paint finish. I know it's not needed at all, but it was the last one on the lot on that rainy day. Oy vey! So difficult to even get these cars for an acceptable price especially in the LA area. Either way, sort of glad that I got it done since I do need to car to drive. Originally was going to get a civic hybrid, but decided that this was much more practical with the hatchback. I think i could have done better if I had bought this in TX or somewhere close to LA. Good luck to the folks trying to get one now! |

Friends: 0 | I put down a $2K deposit today for a pkg 2 at MSRP. I was told 4 weeks. BTW, A dealer in Tampa (Toyota of Tampa) is asking $2K over MSRP and quoted a 12 week wait. I'm not sure what kind of bites they're getting but I can't imagine paying more and waiting longer. |

Friends: 0 | You did good...No doubt your timing helped. One month later and I bet it would have been more. BTW, what are "wheel locks"? (Sorry, I'm ignorant of such things.) |

Friends: 0 | It would be most meaningfull to me to know the amount above or below MSRP that people paid. Even with the 6 package designations, there are various extras, mats, first aid kit, etc that affect msrp. Total price paid means very little to me. So, it is great to list total price, but the amount above or below MSRP really lets us know how good of a deal you got. |

Friends: 0 | I paid 23029 about 1000 less MSRP on 4/19 for a Spectra Blue Package 2 in NY. No waiting, the car is in the lot . Im glad i start to shop on April instead of May. right now, it seems dealer pull all the discount and everyone on waiting list. Anyone shopping in NYC ? how the situation? |

Friends: 0 | A month ago, I ordered a 2008 package 5 and the cost is $27,500 out the door. It took 2 weeks to get it in. My husband went last week and ordered a package 2 Prius for himself, and there is now a 2-month-long waiting list. The price also increased by $400. |

Friends: 0 | In Northern Virginia we just paid $23,116 plus taxes, freight, tags, and processing for a 2008 package 2. This was the Costco auto buying program price but I don't know if they're offering it now that the cars are in such high demand. |
